University of Wales Validation

On the 3rd October the University of Wales announced that “it would be closing validated programmes at centres in the UK and overseas”.

Students on University of Wales validated programmes need not be concerned as the University has a duty of care to all students and will honour their current commitments to them. Nevertheless, Regent’s College London is in the final stages of the scrutiny process for attaining its own taught degree awarding powers (TDAP) with what we hope will be a final panel meeting this week.

If we are successful in gaining TDAP, it is our intention to exercise these powers immediately and to undertake the validation of all our taught programmes as soon as possible for the award of a Regent’s degree.
