BSc (Hons) Psychology
Course Overview
Psychology covers a wide range of topics
and captures the public imagination. We are all part of
groups, organisations, relationships, and consequently an insight
into the workings of human behaviour and motivation is of relevance
and interest to us all. The Psychology BSc at SPCP offers a pathway
to gaining an understanding of such processes.
How does memory work? How do
people get to know each other and form friendships? What is
considered beautiful and why? How do audiences engage with film and
theatre performances? These are just some of the topics found
within this new degree course.
This innovative syllabus approaches psychology
from a more applied point of view, as well as covering the
essential ‘nuts and bolts’ of human thought processes and
actions.

recommend that you attend one of our regular Undergraduate Open Days here at Regent's
College.
Study Options
The programme is available in two
variants:
- 3 Year BSc (Hons) Psychology
- 4 Year Integrated BSc (Hons) Psychology
The four year Integrated BSc includes a
Foundation Year which is designed for those who do not
meet the requirements for direct entry to the three year BSc.
Or for those who have qualifications or relevant work experience
but feel that after a prolonged absence from education they would
benefit from a Foundation year to help them find their feet in an
academic environment.
The Foundation year prepares students for the study of
Psychology at degree level. Students successfully completing the
Foundation programme move automatically onto the BSc if they wish
to.
