This four year programme is designed for those who do not
meet the entry criteria for the three year BSc (Hons)
Psychology programme, and/or for those who have qualifications or
relevant work experience but feel that after a prolonged absence
from education they would benefit from an
integrated foundation year to help them find their feet in an
academic environment.
Course Overview
Psychology covers a wide range of topics and captures the public
imagination. We are all part of groups, organisations,
relationships, and consequently an insight into the workings of
human behaviour and motivation is of relevance and interest to us
all. The BSc (Hons) Psychology with Integrated
Foundation offers a pathway to gaining an understanding of
such processes.
How does memory work? How do people get to know each other and
form friendships? What is considered beautiful and why? How do
audiences engage with film and theatre performances? These are just
some of the topics found within this new degree course.
This innovative syllabus approaches psychology from a more
applied point of view, as well as covering the essential ‘nuts and
bolts’ of human thought processes and actions.
