Diploma in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy

Entry Requirements

  • Qualified member of one of the NHS mental health professions (social worker, psychotherapist, psychiatric nurse, psychologist or similar at the discretion of the admission panel);
  • Registered, accredited or recognised as eligible for inclusion by United Kingdom for Psychotherapy (UKCP), British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), Health Professions  Council (HPC) or equivalent professional body;
  • A minimum of two years' postgraduate experience providing therapy and counselling;
  • Previous completion of an introductory CBT course at Regent's College (or equivalent course of of at least 20 hours)
  • Current employment or work placement in an appropriate clinical setting with current management of own caseload;
  • Current employment or work placement in an appropriate clinical setting allowing access to a minimum of 6 cases suitable for shorter-term CBT therapy;
  • Previous relevant education ro undergraduate degree level;
  • Demonstrated interest in following the CBT model leading to full membership in the British Association for Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapy (BABCP).
