MA/Postgraduate-Diploma in Psychotherapy & Counselling

Entry Requirements

The MA/PGDiploma is classified differently depending on whether you have an undergraduate degree or not. In short:

The MA in Psychotherapy and Counselling is for those who have completed an undergraduate degree (in any discipline).

The PGDiploma in Psychotherapy and Counselling is for those who have not completed an undergraduate degree, but are entering on the basis of significant professional/voluntary experience*.

*Direct entry to the MA is not available for applicants without a completed undergraduate degree.  Those without an undergraduate degree may enter the programme as Post-Graduate Diploma students, but to do this you must have professional/voluntary experience of at least TWO YEARS. There is an option to upgrade to MA status for those achieving high marks during the two taught years.
