Two-Day Workshop in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy

Available as a stand alone introductory course or as an access course for the Advanced Intensive CBT Diploma 

Course Dates

We are currently offering the following dates:

  • Saturday 9 and Sunday 10 January, 2010

The course runs from 10:30am-5:00pm (with registration from 10:00am). Available seats on course: 22

Course Aims

  • Introduce up-to-date CBT theory, emphasising current developments in therapeutic approaches;
  • De-mystify CBT, dispelling myths and misconceptions and presenting cutting-edge research;
  • Enable participants to reflect on why and how to integrate CBT in therapeutic practice;
  • Give an opportunity to reflect on and practise applying key CBT techniques;
  • Provide the key introductory stage for SPCP’s Advanced Intensive Diploma in Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapy.

The course costs £250 (or £200 to existing Regent's College staff and students). Application forms are available on the links below:

Admission Criteria

  • Qualified member of one of the mental health professions (counsellor, psychotherapist, psychiatric nurse, psychologist or similar at the discretion of the admission panel)/Access Course option;
  • Registered, accredited or recognised as eligible for inclusion by United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP), British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), Health Professions Council (HPC) or equivalent/Access Course option;
  • Qualified member of allied disciplines such as coaching, social work teaching/Access or Introductory Course options;
  • Current SPCP Advanced Diploma or MA/PGDip students who may be considering taking an interest in CBT to a deeper level leading to professional registration/Introductory Course option.
