SPCP Doctorate Student Wins Poster Award
We are proud to announce that Meghan Ann Craig, a Doctorate
student in Counselling Psychology, won the 2011 Society for
Psychotherapy Research (SPR) Lester Luborsky Student Poster
Award.
She was awarded for the best poster contribution (2nd prize) at
the 42nd Annual Meeting of the SPR at Bern, between the 29th June –
2nd July 2011, for the presentation entitled: Studying the Process
of Change in Three Different Modalities.
There were 144 student posters and a competition for 3 prizes.
The prize included a certificate and a £300 cheque. The chair of
the SPR committee Professor Thomas SchrÖder announced the prizes in
a hall with 2000 international researchers as: “Meghan Craig of
Regent’s College, London”. This is a great achievement for Meghan,
the School, the HASS faculty and Regent’s College.
Society for Psychotherapy Research (SPR)
The Society is an international, multidisciplinary scientific
association devoted to research on psychotherapy. It aims to
encourage the development of scientific research through a
worldwide network that looks to advance the effectiveness of
psychotherapies through the communication and dissemination of
robust research findings from around the globe. It publishes the
Journal of Psychotherapy Research.
Staff representing Regent’s College London at the SPR conference
who were present at the student awards ceremony, were Dr Maria Luca
and Mr David Hudson who joined all delegates in applauding Meghan’s
success.
