Biography
Elisavet is a Chartered Counselling Psychologist, specialising
in existential-phenomenological therapy. She has worked in a number
of health care settings, providing therapy to a diverse group of
clients. She specialises in relational difficulties, identity
issues and trauma work. Elisavet has developed a special interest
in migrant research since 2002. She is active in psychosocial
research, exploring issues of identity, anxiety and belonging.
Early in her career, she developed an interest in sociology and
philosophy, which has informed her work ever since, addressing
theory and practice from an interdisciplinary perspective. She
signs as Elisavet (Elisabeth) Tapini, to depict her hybrid identity
as a voluntary migrant in an English–spoken country.

Elisavet has contributed to the development of the new
professional doctorate in Counselling Psychology programme.
