Biography

Sue has worked in private practice for 25 years, plus teaching and supervising psychotherapy trainees up to MA level, also currently working in a FE college where the challenge is to apply psychoanalytic thinking in short term work often with clients who would not normally have access to psychoanalytic therapy.

  • the process of becoming a psychotherapist with its personal and professional aspects and challenges
  • the politics of psychoanalysis and psychotherapy and the critique of the medical model of mental illness
  • psychoanalysis impact and links to other disciplines and cultural areas
  • child development theories
